EPA COMPLIANT

US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) is a United States Federal Government Organization that sets regulations to protect both human health and the environment to ensure Americans have clean air, land and water.  By violating one of the EPA laws, fines can start around $10,000.

SlurrySolutions products are EPA compliant that meet &/or exceed their regulations and pass these test methods:

PAINT FILTER 9095B    •    TCLP    •    TURBIDITY    •    TSS

Paint Filter 9095B Test Method

This test method states that “A predetermined amount of material is placed in a paint filter. If any portion of the material passes through and drops from the filter within the 5-min test period, the material is deemed to contain free liquids.”  Conclusion: If there are no free liquids that pass through the paint filter, it is safe to dispose of in landfills.

SlurryDry SSG & SlurrySep Floc both pass the Paint Filter 9095B Test Method.

Toxicity Characteristic Leaching Procedure (TCLP)

This is a sample test method for chemical analysis used to simulate leaching in a landfill. In other words, the TCLP test will determine whether the liquid that excretes from the solids will carry any environmentally harmful substances.

SlurryDry SSG passes the TCLP test method.

Turbidity

Turbidity refers to the how clear the water is when suspended solids are present. After the heavy material falls to the bottom, the extremely small particles tend to fall slowly or not at all.

With that being said, the chemical formula of SlurrySep Floc ensures that the small particles fall to the bottom quickly therefore making the water clear and ready to reuse.

Total Suspended Solids (TSS)

After separating the water from the suspended solids (slurry), the remaining material can then be dried into a solid.  This water separation can be performed with a filter or SlurrySep Floc.
